Faith Building Project

"When I first arrived here nearly 5 years ago God gave me these verses of scripture: ‘Enlarge the site of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left, and your descendants will possess the nations and will settle the desolate towns’. (Isaiah 54: 2-3)

I believe God gave us these scriptures for a purpose that we would enlarge our tent by reaching out to the local community in ways that we couldn’t imagine, and we are already by Messy Church in Lache Community Centre, Curzon House, our Puppet tree ministry, in our schools both primary and secondary – Praise God, and in so many other ways as well. We have also enlarged our tent out into the City with St. Peter’s. I also believe that these verses are for us to have the strength and courage to build a new mission shaped centre with a number of different sized meeting rooms, a conference room, a designated playgroup room with small kitchen facilities, a modern working kitchen, a community café open every day, excellent children and youth facilities, adequate toilets, storage, offices, but above all a building that will be a beacon of light, open and without walls, welcoming to all, and a mission shaped centre for a mission shaped church that will give God the honour, praise and glory for many more years to come."
